The Culver City Police and Fire Departments would like to remind residents and visitors that the sale and possession of all fireworks, including “safe and sane” fireworks, is illegal in Culver City. Violators may be subject to fines and arrest if caught displaying or possessing fireworks.

We all must recognize the potential dangers of using and handling fireworks. The risk of injury, especially to children, is of great concern. Fireworks can negatively impact children, veterans, and pets. In addition, with high temperatures, the danger of fire is ever present. Let's take care and celebrate the Fourth while being considerate of our neighbors.

Consider celebrating Independence Day this year on Friday, July 5, 2024 at Downtown Culver City's Town Plaza (9300 Culver Blvd.). The Culver City Downtown Business Association will present an Aerial Drone Light Show and Live Music from 6 PM - 9:30 PM.  For more information, visit the Culver City Downtown Business Association's Events webpage

For questions or to report illegal fireworks, please contact the Culver City Police Department at (310) 253-6208.
